coast to coast

has any one done uk coast line trip ,start at a point and work your way round keeping to all the smaller road where possible .

No but its something I have always wanted to do.

In 2010 we travelled from home along the south coast heading east, through Hampshire, w/sussex, E/Sussex, then headed up to the northern kent coast, along & up into essex ending up at Southend-on-sea.
we spent 3 months from april-june, came home for a month then set off West through Dorset Devon, Cornwall, then headed up into wales ending up at snowdon staying in Caernarfon. 
Did 3 months came home in October. 
Really enjoyed it could have had better weather at times but hey!! beats being at home.

wot distance was that mark miles as that is six months

Mike the only person I know that has done the WHOLE UK coast line is Brian aka sallytrafic off MHFs and this is his link, hope it helps.

The UK coastline is 7700 miles long so an epic journey and over a half of it is Scotland so you will need to enjoy Scotland

It was around the 1500 miles Mick,for both trips including both journeys home as a direct route.

Are you planning on going the whole way round mick??,if so how many places are you going to visit each day  , and how long are you planning on going for?.

all in the thinking stage mark gathering info

I would love to tour round the british coast line travelling in land to places of interest. 

However one can dream

if you do not have dreams you can not make one come true

I would of loved to be involved joe  our daughter in law is very ill and we need to saport them at this time .so nt posible .we will be away over Christmas 
and new year as some one else is takeing over for 2 weeks. peter will have a game s sorted I am shaw and then theres the incredible frank santa show
