Wat is wrong with this forum

It seems that in this forum there is a divide. This is meant to be a forum where we share stories and information about our Motorhomes and make and meet new friends. I admit that I am also guilty of mis understanding comments and jumping to conclusions but if we don't stop arguing with each other this forum will go the same way as previous ones and disappear. I think it would be a good idea to have a day or two where we can, as members, post our opinions and grievances in an adult and articulate way that can then be discussed fairly and without malice or misinterpretation.

not been on here very long but there seems to be a lot of bad feeling between some of you and you put it on line/as a adult not something I want be involved  with

Vicar as Polly says this is not normal on Motorhomers.

If the comments had been said face to face they would have been laughed off as banter.  Which the posts were.

It is difficult when posting and reading sometimes to understand what the poster actually means.   

I try to use smilies/emoticons to show the mood I am in when posting   hoping no offense is taken. 

For god sake all the said to the man was    Y comment then wats wrong with u people making something out of nothing. I have not heard vicar say I up set him just wannabes jumping on the band wagon  if vicar says I up set him I'll sort it out with him no won else

Wherever people congregate there will be disagreements, that is inevitable, that is way way of people, wouldn't it be boring if we were all the same, all had the same opinions, tastes, likes and dislikes etc. doesn't bear thinking about really.  The thing is not to let those differing opinions upset you but to remember that each is entitled to their own opinion.  Sometimes the writer writes what he thinks but the reader reads something different into it, emoticons help with this.
This is a place to come and relax, swap a yarn or joke, ask questions, give answers and hopefully enjoy each others company, we all have much in common, not least of all owning one of our most expensive possessions, our motor home, another is to enjoy travelling and meeting each other face to face where we can socialise over a drink (or two).  Falling out is best left to the politicians.

Only thing that annoys me is not having replies included in the email notification 
Having to constantly come back is a real pain.

Don't think there is much that can be done on that front, the web site leaves little room for "customising", perhaps it's done to encourage you to come back to the thread, then you are more likely to leave a post, in this case it worked  .

You sure haven't got your phone set up correctly because I get every post reply sent to my phone.

I get the alerts on my computer but not the reply itself, didn't think it was possible, evidently it is, any idea how I can do this please.

Don't know about other forums but I get notification from MHFs and M-Hs every time someone answers a post I have posted previously in. Even got notification on MHFs about your suspension update.

Yes notifications from other forums include the contents of the reply 
This forum does not it simply tells you that there has been a reply

True I do not get the post itself on Homers just that someone has replied and I have to go look at it

The point of the email notification is so you can decide if you want to respond based on the content 
Many posts are just general chat which I rarely respond to
