Recognising members photos please

Post by Eaglewings on Tue 14 Jan 2014 - 10:07

Realised although we have been on this site a while and been to several fun meets, we don't always remember names to user names....eg Marie and John are Angel Mac
I've changed the avatar pic this morn from van to us....just an idea and thought....would it be useful to old and new members to have a photo gallery or place to put photos of members.....it's a great way to remember who we were talking too...easy fir those who have been with the group past and present for years....feedback appreciated thank you.Marie alias Angel Mac alias MRS CLAUS AT XMAS MEET.....I'm sure you've forgot me by now as you have had lots of sleeps since then lol ( NOT!) come on don't be shy...not looking for photogenic pics just ones we can relate to.....unless your in the run from the law in which case you can be forgiven ....  flower

When there are dogs in the house you can be sure of a warm welcome, I miss that.  I have had dozens of dogs over more than half a century, mostly kenneled but some in the house on occasion because I love the company of dogs, sitting in the garden on a summers evening surrounded with them was bliss to me.  Getting muddied up by them was NEVER a problem to me, if I had some that loved and respected me as much as I did them then it was mission accomplished for me.  Not the most successful person in competition I at least knew that I got there with kindness rather than cruelty, they were always on my side.
No more now, to old but I will miss them in my life.

I meant our little WESTIE not website lol....predictive text!,,,,I have heard of people becoming dog Carers ...short spells if owners are ill or in hospital etc....but I think you would get too attached each time and not want to give them back.
It looks like it's new beginnings for you and a new way of life.

I thought "website" Shocked  strange name for a dog Smile .  I do some maintenance work at a kennels not far from my house so I now get to have my canine "fix" as often as I need to, daily during the summer/autumn but nothing in the winter as it's so quiet after the Christmas rush.  The staff say I must be used to the noise of barking dogs but mine were so quiet that some of my neighbours didn't know there were 4-6 dogs in kennels in the garden.
You are right, dogs do enrichen our lives, I hope your westies are with you for many years to come.
