| M/H been standing for a couple of months filled fresh water tank, switched on pump & nothing from any taps or shower. I have taken pump off & connected directly to leisure battery & fires up ok but when connected back to circuit nothing. I have just ordered a new switch. I have also tried the wires together with no switch but nothing!. Checked all fuses ok, taps are microswitched. Any advice please? I suspect it's a wiring problem. Thanks. | |

| Mine burst the diaphragm while away in Spain Mark, never noticed for a few days until I opened the front locker and it was 2 inches deep in water good job we where is Spain as it all dried out perfectly. Had to have a new one fitted at €160 now the ruddy thing will not switch off since we got home and emptied the water, taps all shut, no water at all but pump still running Phil (Rhino Installs) thinks it is just because the new pumps are self priming and its looking for water, will test it when next down at the m/h and I have some water in. Good luck with yours. | |

| Bob, last van me and Robert had, the diaphragm went when we were on a rally, so I scrounged an old inner tube from a boat yard that was close by, and I made my own diaphragm, which was still working when I sold the van, just had to adjust the pressure screw on the pump a little and it was perfect! | |

| Ate you sure it's just the diaphram Bob? a split diaphram in a pump usually means it won't pump, and unless it's split where the seal is you won't normally get a leak, id look for any cracks 1st _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| not really, not sure which way the micro switch circuits work, ie are the live or negative, connect or disconnect to operate pump _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Would need to investigate with meter to see what's occurring. | |

| Thanks for response so far...
Joining the two wires at one of the micro switches together might give me a circuit to the pump so hopefully I can check all taps independently I will use a test meter to give me a reading. I will also test the negative on the pump to try & get a reading.
The switches on the taps have a live feed in and a live feed out. So all the micro switches do is turn on / off 12v power.I have been advised that the problem may be with the neutral from the pump back to the battery because I have checked the fuse from the live at the battery & is not blown.
Any more advice would be appreciated thanks. | |

| I have connected a wire directly from + at battery to positive on switch & left tap open BINGO!!! Pumping normally. Now I need to rewire the positive from switch back to positive on battery with an inline fuse | |

| Now you've proved what it is, the fault could be a dirty connection on the fuse holder. | |

| All done!!! Rewired positive from switch & rerouted wiring right back to battery with an inline fuse in battery box, basically done away with old live feed & replaced. | |

| The wiring in this Hymer is like getting into fort knox, it's well tucked away so I rerouted it. | |
