TV. No power

Right I don't use my TV much in the van so it is always disconnected and put away.
Well the cable bit that goes into the power hole on the back of the TV .
Where it goes in it is lose.
I have tried the 12v wire and that is a lose connection.
I think the fault is in the TV the power hole 
Can this be fixed or am I looking at a new TV
Sorry don't know the correct terminology for the hole, but I am sure when someone says it I will go oh yes I remember now

Oh I also have tried another power cable but that is lose as well

I have had to position the wire at the back to keep the power coming through but that is very hit and miss now

Is it the same socket for 12v and mains use (Via the transformer)
It will be repairable but will more than likely need soldering

If it's a plug like this

On the socket that you plug into, they have a spring which is also the outer electrical contact that holds the plug in place, these can get weak or break and probably the problem you are having
