Just up the road in Ashbourne schools are being closed due to snow- and Matlock Buxton
Snake pass is closed if you were travelling that way

Started snowing as we went to bed last night but this morning no snow to be seen although it is a dark day.  Paperwork to be done so that is my day filled in.

We got bright sunshine up here, but frustratingly its too cold to do any work on the van, its about 3deg at the moment, although you can feel the heat off the sun through the window.

Going to the theatre tonight to watch an amateur production. Last one we watched was so good and funny

Been very cold here today - done more accounts and kept the fire company.

Beautiful   and crisp morning here on the costa del Southport so a nice walk along the pier and around the gardens is called for.

My weekend away was just what I needed


My brother is having his memorial service on Saturday so going to be an emotional time

Sister and hubby and niece are coming up to stay 

I will be sleeping in motorhome

Just back from doctors. Going for more knee x rays to see what is really going on with the right knee.

Forecast is for snow later in the week but really warm here this morning.

Diagnosed with ILD and EAA and given steroids to combat them but no real diagnosis of the cause

Just looked them up pete, no wonder you abbreviated!! 

Is it steroids by inhaler Peter. Youngest daughter had to use one - Becotide. Also took Predisoline (sp).tablets at times.

Tablets Joyce - will be rattling when I walk lol

Tablets made daughter go hyper so should be fun if they do the same for you Peter lol

Back from having knee x rayed. Had to have it x rayed twice as first time wasn't successful.

Still fine here with sun but weather warning for lots of snow to come.

I am on my third day of NO pain ( yes I am counting)
My X-ray showed nothing broken or anything

Today I have been busy washing my vans bedding
And declutter ing cupboards and drawers in the kitchen.
I have two more bottom cupboards and two top cupboards to do
I just thought I would share that with you

Also have a house electric problem. We are trying to solve it by process of elimination but when power stays on for half an hour then goes off its taking some time.

Polly your pain must be muscular as no bones broken. Counting day 4 of no pain hopefully.

Sunny morning without any snow! Although I understand there is tons of the white stuff a few miles up the road.

What a day we had yesterday. As I said our electric was off in the house. Resetting the trip switch resulted in the power being on for longer periods. Then we noticed when it rained or snowed the electric tripped off. Then Andrew came in from the garage and said he had to reset the garage trip switch. Both supplies attached to same pole so contacted Powergrid and our supplier. Both came out and tested our meter etc and decided the fault is outside at the pole or beyond. Now waiting for power engineers to check electric supply.

Did I tell you all the electric supply wiring was renewed by contractors in December. The engineers who came yesterday agreed with us that our supply wire had been left dangerously low. The wire crosses over the top of the motorhome and if I had stood on the roof to clean it I could have held onto the electric wire

White-out here now, snowing so hard/heavy, can't see neighbor's property.

10 past 7 this morning was very wet and rainy outside
Went back to bed and when I got up at 9 am everywhere was overhead in snow

As I sat with my coffee in the front room heard a banging sound so checked for footprints in the snow at next doors . No footprints so no burglar must have been their dog falling of the chair.
Then the noise came again when I looked through the window it was like a avalanche coming down. Snow sliding of the solar panels on the house roof

No snow and then white over and now all gone again

Snowed for 7 minutes this evening and Barb was panicking, now its peeing down and it has all gone but I have not told her yet as she is in bed asleep, so when I retire I will let her know it is now 9" deep and she will not sleep all night, so I will have a good night without her snoring, Yeh

Lovely & sunny here the last couple of days & the sun actually feels warm its just that ruddy cold wind you northerers are sending our way we are ready for the off for a few days!

Sunny but very cold here - definitely fire watching weather. Oh and no snow - the fields are still green.

Very cold here although all the fields are still green. Colin was out playing with his Scania in the snow near Tan Hill yesterday, winching out a yellow truck from the snow drifts.

Been on computer and telephone this morning getting Dads car insured for him. I am also on the policy.  Although Dad looks and acts 20 years younger than his age he is classed as being in a care home with dementia. Finally managed to get him insured at a reasonable price but dreading next year when he is a year older.

Oooh its flippin cold up ere, and I've got the flat opened up to air it out! Discovered I have an allergy to Glade plug-ins, so changing the air. Can't beat a bit of fresh air to liven you up.

When Colin and I had signed our wills at the solicitors, one Friday, years ago we returned home with bought pork pies for tea.  The result we spent the next week in bed with food poisoning.  Not eaten a pork pie since.

Thought we had tempted fate.

Woke up to snow this morning but the fields are green once more.  Still very cold with bright sunshine.

 Up to date with all the paperwork.  Will have more to do come April

Yes I have just been shopping to restock my chocolate, whiskey and  wine after my brother in law and sisters visit.

Got my jar, sugar, whiskey and strawberries to make some strawberry whiskey
Hope it will be ok for Easter
 
Aldi had these today reduced from £9 to £4-99
