| Hi,
I purchase quiet a lot of stuff from on-line retailers and I do get annoyed at the length of time it takes to get the delivery, it seems very few companies put the stuff in the post the same day, I think quiet a lot of them like Amazon and eBay etc say that the items will be dispatched within a certain number of days, why not either the day you pay or the following at the latest.
Then we get the delivery company , the best delivery service I have had in the last 6 month has come from DPD they text me to tell it will be delivered on a set day AM or PM then they text me nearer the day to tell me the delivery will be with me between x and y hours that's what I call a good delivery service.
The Royal mail on the other hand just turn up no advanced warning, then as you would expect we are out so the proverbial card is left telling us we can pick up from our local delivery office, which only appear to open for half days between 7 am and 1pm M to F and Saturday for a couple of hours, that's a great service ?

| All delivery services are better than Royal Mail Yeah they do only seem to open part time, 7:30-1:00, but I have to say, if I have a parcel to collect and I have been on nights, I often go straight after work and arrive there at 07:10, the guy at our collection point always lets me in and i'm usually away in 5 mins _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| We are fortunate that our parcels are left at our Post Office as Potton is too small to have a sorting office or collection point so we pick up at normal opening times. As they know most of the residents here, you don't even need to have your card with you. I get excellent service from the couple that own it and our Post Lady always goes the extra mile. I have decided that it is a good decision to move here.
I think the PO is trying to bring itself into the 21st Century but like lots of public services it is entrenched with people set in their ways that are set against change. It is very difficult trying to implement change when the people who need to use the changed system wont.
I think it is the employees that dictate where the PO is heading in the future, downhill - probably but I hope not. | |

| DPD in my opinon are the best by far ,as Braunston said there texting and there tracking service is second to none , they have never been out of the 1 hour slot they give you | |

| DPD are probably the best because they are a german company, and as we know the germans seem to be good at evything. | |

| Hi,
Its is probably me expecting to much, but Is it me or are Amazon delivery times getting longer, I seem to think that a few years ago you used to get the items more or less the next day ? (perhaps not that quick) but certainly within a day or so, but now it seems to me some of the projected delivery dates can be way off in the future.
