| i was in lpool yesterday for a day out with the brothers. 1st stop was the panoramic restraunt, there was at least 4 people using the new electronic e ciggy,we went on a pub crawl.in every pub we went in{12}there was lots of people all using this new e ciggy,in our pubs 6 staff have been using the e ciggy for weeks,i was amazed by the ammount of people using the e ciggy, even seen lots of people on the streets using them. now i am no brainbox ,but the goverment must be losing a hell of a lot of money with people not buying ciggys,as there are shops opening up all over the country{we have 4 in lpool}only selling the e ciggys.the price of ciggys is the main reason people are stopping smoking{well the people i spoke to anyway}and obviously the health will improve over time. now i dont know what the chancellor estimated that they would get in the next 12 months from tax paid on ciggys, but i think he is in for a big shock,as people are packing up smoking in the thousands, the cost of the ciggys i used to smoke are 8pound 30 pence.i think the tax on one packet is about 5 pound.so everyone who smoked 20 a day will be reducing the economy by 35 pound per week. do the maths for every 3,000 people packing up the weekly ammount is over a million pound per week.that will never return to the goverment coffers. | |

| Only a matter of time before the e ciggy liquid is taxed Frank, that's why I have reduced the nicotine strength, hope I'm off it before the price goes sky high _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

Agreed mark, but it is certainly much safer and better that the real thing, no different from taking the patches or any other form of nicotine just got too ween oneself of them after a while.

From memory its not the nicotine that's difficult to break but the habit. You get so used to having a ciggie at certain times thats what is hard.

| So how are we all doing with the non smoking and the leccie cigs, I have not had a fag since Feb 1st and didn't succumb to start again while away in Spain but it was hard so pleased I did not.
I know Ken is still on the leccie one and this weekend Alan (Talbot) started his attempt at stopping with the leccie one, so keep it up Alan.
