We seem to have hot weather when children go back to school following the summer holidays. Diesel/petrol prices usually go down too.

It could be even hotter in france, that will reduce the fuel costs a bit.

We have had a Shell fuel representative on the telephone today and he believes the fuel prices are about to fall. It will take a while to filter through to the pump price.
Another fuel rep said prices were high because there was a rumour some canal was to be closed. Thought it may be the Panama Canal as threatened in the 1970s
