| I cannot contest the minutes as I wasn't there but there are 3 points I would like to raise.
1. Tugga & myself offered our apologies for not attending some time ago because of an another commitment but I noticed our names weren't listed.
2. Bob resigned as secretary some time back but his name was still listed as the secretary.
3. I proposed Peter Lea as Chairman in July 2013 so why was this ignored and why wasn't there a vote.

| Sorry Jan, looks like your apologies were forgot Bob stayed on as secretary until the AGM Don't really know exactly what happened but didn't Pete say he didn't want to do it? Mick, your was a loan just like the other 3, when you stepped down you made it a donation, if you look further down you will see "20/03/13 Donation 50.00" - that was yours _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| We can add the above points to the minutes as agenda for the next meeting if members wish.
Only starting as secretary at meeting of 14th December, I was puzzled re the loan/donation issue and was going to itemise it for the next meeting.
Ken can we add names for apologies received from Cheryl and Jan.
Can we learn from this and all apologies to be sent to the secretary by PM say a week before any advertised Homers meeting.

| Further I would like to say no one offered to take the post of secretary at the meeting of 14th December.
Bob outlined secretaries duties and only when convinced it was not a very time consuming job did I volunteer.
Many of you know I am also a partner in a business and when out and about in the van I do not want to be bombarded with more paper work.
However having been Homers secretary for a month I am disappointed to find lack of support regarding committee and meets.
Motor Homers has only been in existence for a little over a year and from my angle the same few people are doing the hard work.
That is just my opinion.
I believed we had learned from the previous two clubs the majority of us had been members of.
I understood that this time everything was going to be above board and done properly.
In the past I have sat on various councils, committees and clubs. Although I have not been secretary I have an understanding of a secretaries duties. I hope to bring that experience to Motor Homers. If any member believes I am doing something wrong then PM me.
The Motorhomers forum/club requires support not criticism.

| Just want to say no criticism intended about any of the past or present committee, I was just raising points about items that I thought were missed. I think everyone involved in running this club is doing an excellent job.
Having been on many committees over the years I appreciate what has to be done and how difficult it is to get members to commit, unfortunately my experience on the last club has made me very wary of committing myself again.
My arrangements that clashed with the AGM were made and booked December 2012 and it was the only available weekend for what we wanted to do otherwise we would have attended.
I am sure nearer each meet people will come forward to steward but it is very difficult to commit to steward just in case personal arrangements get changed and one doesn't like to let the club down.

| I think we were all stung one way or another on the last club Jan. Should make us all keener to keep Homers on the right path As far as stewarding a meet I think it is the fear of the unknown. It has been suggested that members could assist the steward of a meet to learn the 'ropes'. | |

| At the AGM we talked about Caister on Sea as a possible for this year's Xmas meet. Unfortunately this is not a viable option as they only have 5 pitches. | |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]This was our suggestion of Ripley ( that's the name of the park ) often lots of spaces during the week weekends busier but not always full . Indoor heated pool on site. Tents allowed if family want to visit... There is no particular function or meet room though, except a v small games room. Pub in village excellent Boars head but not a cheapy. Opens March hope this adds to the suggestion and helps. John and I could help marshal if it was a consideration. Thanks for the minutes of the meeting and to all concerned. Thank you to the newly elected members of the committee and to Bob who stepped down for his efforts in the past. You have our continual support. We love this site it's informative, helpful, we have made lots of friends and shared ideas and we are a community striving for the same goals... To Motoroam and enjoy!
