Found my 7 year old wind break in the garage (it's amazing what's in there)
I remember that I have used it about 3times and the last time reliazed doing it all wrong
Like
Knocking the spikes at the top of the pole so it goes into the ground.
Yes that should have been a no no
As the spikes are what you tie the guy lines to 
So I rendered it unusable.

So here I am 
Tried to pull the spikes out with pliers------- nooooo
Ordered some new ones --well not the same ---noooo

So I have found a piece of wood that would fit down the pole to knock the spike out ------- yes
So now I have a wind break,but just have to remember not to knock the spikes

I'm in Darlington and we have just had a very severe thunderstorm. I have never heard thunder like it. Was like huge explosions.

Just a rumble in Nuneaton and 35c phew

Following last night's continuous rumbling of thunder woke up this morning to a cooler temperature of 17degs and clear blue sky.

Our thunder last night was just a rumble but the lighting gave a wonderful show
Lighting up behind the clouds

Not had nothing like that since possibly the 80's when we were as St Malo, our last night and was woken by the storm. We went out to watch , I was told everything was ok and hold on to the tent pole which was metal if I was frightened

We had yet another thunder storm which started at about 5pm yesterday. It's now quite a bit cooler.  Woke up to clear blue skies. 

I keep checking the weather for Wilsthorpe and I think it is going to be mainly fine.

Well wallets empty but MH passed the MOT
Needed some new front brake pads but others were the originals and had done nearly 56000 miles
Now have repacked all the bits  I took out and put in all the extra bits for Bridlington

Been raining again just to ensure we have fine weather at Wilsthorpe.

Best get ready for 'fit to drop' otherwise known as aquafit. Then back home and get ready to set off for York.

Autumn comes early in Cumbria, well that’s what it feels like at the moment, quite cool and overcast this morning, and we are having lots of rain.

Sun is shining here. Have been keeping an eye on Brid weather forecasts and depending which one you want to believe it will be either sunny or wet for next fortnight.  But then Bridlington does have its own climate.

Best get a move on and take bicycle for repair.

So I popped out to B&M, and when I came to leave the shop......yes we are having a MONSOON! Did I fall asleep and miss summer, again?

At a CCC  THS near the river at York.  Just got parked up on pitch and the rain started. Good news is I haven't been washed away. However woke up to a clear blue sky and sun.

Have to go and see about bike today.  Apparently the frame they replaced under recall isn't any good.  May end up rejecting it as not fit for purpose.  Feel a fight maybe starting!

BBQ with my neighbours and we opened a bottle of champaign as one does.
Motorhome is having a habitat service next Wednesday by a mobile chappy and a chat about costing for changing over to Refill LPG 

Izzy going having a shower in a moment then I will sort my apples out so TILLY and I can make apple pie later

I'd just like to thank you for good wishes whilst I went through a very difficult time. The outcome was a good one thanks to my daughters quick thinking.
