Motorhome pull in near Manchester Airport?

I have taken friends to Manchester Airport this week. Their return flight lands there very early hours and I volunteered to pick them up.

But just realised I will be in the motorhome returning home. However that part is not a problem as I will be passing Manchester Airport but will have several hours to spare. Where can I park nearish or on route to the Airport from the M6 south.

Does anyone know if I will be able to pull up and park to enable my friends to get into motorhome with bags. I didn't take note whilst I was there as believed I was going back in the car.

As a regular at Manchester Airport (taxi driver)  I can tell you that pick ups have to be from car parks except maybe terminal 3.

If you come off the M56 at junction 6, go right at roundabout and then left at traffic lights, first right is Avro way. There are two long parking areas on the road where parking is limited to 30 mins but no-one patrols it. Or you could park in the Premier Inn over the road (two hours free but get ticket from machine) if your motorhome will fit a bay.
Get your friends to phone you when they have their baggage then go to the airport.
Tell me which terminal they are returning to and I'll give some suggestions.

Thank you Paul will text them and ask for terminal information. I believe my motorhome will be too long to fit in Premier Inn parking bay. Was thinking of parking in layby some where then driving into airport to pick friends up when they had claimed their bags.

I'm just off now to Stansted Airport so won't be able to answer further till this evening.
