| We were having a discussion on another forum about choosing a guitar for use in the van, thought I'd share my findings here. The Washburn Rover Travel Guitar was mentioned. They are available for 87 pounds delivered on both Amazon and Ebay. I bought one, which arrived today, and its excellent. Plays great straight out the box, intonation good, decent action, and I can't put it down Because of its weird shape, it has a tone all its own...kind of a cross between a mandolin and banjo, but to my ears, VERY nice indeed. Again cos of its shape, it really needs to be played wearing a strap. I've bought a cheap Mandolin strap which does the job. As others have said, the strap that comes with it will be binned because it stinks of an awful chemical smell. It's also great playing a Slide on it, lovely authentic sound using my Coricidin bottle , and my pick made from a Lurpak butter tub  , using the Pick Punch 8) Ideal for MotorHoming....buy one now Amazon link | |
