| Xmas eve and the talk talk TV box decides to stop working, 57 mins on the phone talking to Bindy Bumbe from Bombay and its still not working so they are sending an engineer out, when you might ask - 3rd January  Free repair if its a faulty box, £60 if its something thats at fault our end, ie settings, cable etc £200 if we have damaged the box and needs replacing, asked repeatedly if there is a way of booting the system, kept getting told to turn it off so after the call ended I googled it and found how to do it, reset the system, software etc but still no joy, definately a faulty box, gets to boot up screen then freezes. Hate talking to them call centres who haven't got a clue what they are talking about, just reading things off a screen especially when you get told things like "are you sure the TV is turned on"  Oh well, back to good old freeview for the Xmas period, hope Adele doesn't want to pause/rewind or record anything or the air will be bluer than it was when I was on the phone to the call centre  _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

My tt youview box stopped working the on demand features. I googled it, lots with same problem (prob 1000's without), the cure was to follow the 'maintenance procedure'...... press on/off button at rear to off, then on again and at same time both + & - buttons at front. Then let the box do it's own thing, it tells you when it's complete. Worth a try, it sounds like you might have done something similar.

| Ours packed up a few weeks ago, been through all of this, no engineer for 4 weeks I put an official complaint to the manager & got a compensation number to claim back. Our contract ends in January so wont use them again! | |

| Well the guy turned up on time, did a few tests and and went through all the resetting process, reinstalling software etc, daren't tell him I had already done that turns out the box is faulty, replaced free of charge to the newer model _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |
