| Well before any of you get giddy and put your winter wear away and head to France, just a note of caution
We are parked up 40 minutes drive below Limoges airport and last night it snowed goose feathers type snow on us'
Coming from Todmorden I have to admit it was the warmest snow I have ever encountered but it sure isn't time to pack the onesies and winter woolies away just yet

So I think you should stay over in France and we will give you a nod when it's safe to come home

| After a week and a few days of iffy weather, the sun and heat has returned to Benidorm. According to the know it all's on site it's going to last forever !!
Alan, if you're still around the Limoge area at the end of April (we're heading home then) feel free to post the address of your new aire de campingcar.

| We need to cross the Channel on the 11th to take our Granddaughter home and seeing how fast the French operate the flipping cottage may not be officially ours until July or even later even though it should be an hour of a job for the Notaire. It is at Fougeras just outside of Oradour sur Vayres where surprising enough there is a little used basic free aire If you happen to drive down the little lane to Fougeras in your van do not attempt the old railway bridge as it will not fit. We are on the Camp site at Parc Verger just at present while we attempt to speed up the French, an aire without electric is not a good idea here at present as the weather is more like what we are used to in Todmorden than what we expect in France

| Why in the world are you on an Aire without EHU at this time of year, is Parc verger not a full site it was when we went there.
Now googling earth to find your place, you are not that far from our place in Ladignac-le-Long could nearly be neighbours.

| Put you specs on Bob and read it again we are at Parc Verger with electric because it is too cloudy and chilly to be without hook up.Perhaps I wrote it a wee bit ambiguous. Follow the D901 from Oradour sur Vayres towards Parc Verger and about a mile on from Oradour is a right turn called Rue de Fougeras. we are right at the bottom of there almost up to the old rail track that runs through from Parc Verger | |

| Well it's not our place now but our daughters, we bought it between us but we have signed it over to our Sue and Tim but we love the place, there is a huge barn yet to be converted and 3 acres of land one of which is an acre of Bois and only 5 houses in the village as well as a Tullery. and also love the area with a lovely town minutes away and a huge lake and campsite as well very close by, also really do love the Limoges area of France, and with you only 30 minutes drive away make it even better (I think ) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Definitely a nice part of France, a place where me and Robert could spend a few weeks aire hopping, using Oradour Sur Glane as a base. Certainly got some wonderful memories of there. | |

| I loved the area around Oradour-sur-Glane, especially the village of Javerdat, just 5km away. It has a nice little free aire and a very helpful "Marie" with a leaflet of stunning short walks in the area. Spent a great evening with the lovely ladies in the local bar/restaurant/post office/shop. | |

| Our granddaughter has just come over and we have shown her our choice of wee retirement home and she really does approve even though it is shrouded in mist at present | |
