Our KiWi harvest Oct 2015

Well we have just picked our KIWI harvest this year....and it is up on last years harvest....8 full buckets....112 lb ( 51kg ) That's 7 buckets of Kiwi's we have to give away....and keep one for ourselves......

It's a shame Gerry you are not closer as you could have had a bucket / couple of carrier bags full of KIWIS.....BUT. Mmm..the last time I gave the Caseys a carrier bag of free walnuts out of the garden..the old  "Matriarch" ..(Freda my auntie) complained she found a couple of walnuts with NO nut inside !!!...and complained about it...!!...so what would the young and new Matriarch...(Carol) say...Whooops / Oh bugger I found a small stalk....lol

very good crop,cant you juice them and freeze the juice.

Not sure about juicing them..or the wine....as we don't have the time with being away in the M/Home.. so one bucket is more than enough for us.....so giving them away... is as they say over here is "mon plaisir"..or "notre plaisir " in our case....after the planting stage they take very little work to look after. just the picking...except for the bees to pollinate...But I must say when you go around the French villages ask them if they eat Kiwis and would they like some from the garden...and you go to the boot of the car to give them some Kiwi's (as over here in the shops you buy then in Ones or a pack 4) and you give them one or two carrier bags full to the top of KIWI's..100's of them..shock horror is on there faces ...but then they ask ..can we share them with our friends...  of course
