| Hi all checking the motorhome today i found out we have a leak in the over cab bed area The base under the bed is shot, must have been leaking for ages. ive removed most of the floor and its nice and flat so repair work will be easy enough. Trouble is im not sure how the waters getting in as the sides and roof are dry? i have a roof light above the bed so im going to seal along with the 2 front marker lights and the seams of the van at the front. what would you recommend? Ive heard sikaflex is good stuff but they have 221, 512 along with others so can anyone give me a heads up on what sealer to use? Cheers Dave. | |

| I have just had a look on google and I think they all do the same job but suggest you put the question into google and you will be able to see the answers yourself. Good luck. | |

| I use Stixall, it's as good as Sicaflex, but a bit cheaper and available at Tool station, good luck. | |

| Ok so this is how far i am with the repairs so far. This is the first time ive done this so any tips would be welcomed This is what it looked like when i pulled the carpet up. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]So ive stripped it back, removed all the floor and the insolation, the battens are all lose but ive left them there just for reference for fitting the new ones, i hope to have it back together this weekend [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| It looks so much better in the last picture and you seem to be doing a really good job. Did you find where the leak was and were you able to rectify it? | |

| Thank you. Yes i have found it. At first i thought it was the roof light but after so more investigation i found a shallow long dent in the roof from the previous owner but looking at it closer and i could see that inside the dent it had a thin crack in the aluminum. Ive put it all back together now, just the front to repair but im leaving that for now to make sure its not leaking anymore just to be on the safe side This is how it its now, ready for a weekend trip this weekend [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |
