Bob...That is similar to what we have had.... the first 2 to 3 weeks from November to early December was excellent very hot and sunny...then it changed to mixed weather some sun some rain at night mostly but also some in the day making the ground a little wet to say the least (and with 2 dogs and no awning it was muddy) some wind ...some chilly wind...day temps was around 17 to 18c....night temps 10 to 12c although it did drop to 6c a couple of times also 14c some times through the night...now back end of February into march the weather did get better more sun a bit of wind but very little rain thank goodness....but saying all that Christine managed to play boules twice a week...now the boules teams was very competitive and aggressive to say the least....30 people playing in teams of 2 Chris managed to win the champion Albufeira CUP.. 4 times .....and second a few times by having to throw one  boule to find the a winner out of the two finalist's as Chris said in her words she /we was robbed .....But I must say she did win the wooden spoon once for coming last and blamed that on her partner...poor sod..now you did not pick your partner when playing.. they was drawn out and picked for you ...so every time your partner was different...

Well it was slightly different here at the Marjal we only had two days of rain but constant battering by a very warm wind, great weather really for getting about and topping the tan up, the guy on the next pitch runs a very competitive Boules comp every year and they take very keenly with over 50 players of very high standards, we never took our Boules so we never got a game, thank goodness far to good for the likes of a Bridlington Champion.
We will return again in November then again in February for a long period.
