Well we've just come back from a nice weekend away with Frank and Margaret but things didn't start off too good
Hoped to get away from work at 3pm but couldn't, had to stay till 5pm but sneaked out 15 mins early at 16:45 - bonus I thought, we can be half way to Whittingham club in that 15 mins I gained, anyway, we got to the storage compound, started unpacking the car, put the dogs in and for some reason I then locked the rear door with the security lock, just as I pressed the button I thought "My keys are in the van" and I hadn't opened the cab doors
LOCKED OUT
Had to dash home in the car, glad i hadn't locked the car keys in too
10 minutes wasted
Finally got everything in the van and it's time to set off
click click click - FLAT BATTERY
I thought it had been getting slower at turning over but the solar panels kept it full so it always started but for this one occasion, why? I had turned the switch off for some reason so the solar wasn't charging the cab battery
Out with the jump leads onto the car, no chance, poxy thin jump leads that will soon be finding a new home in the bin!
Phone call to Adele's son who turned up with some proper leads and we were soon started and got on our way.
A well deserved pint or two that night
Had a lovely meal in the Stags Head and have made a provisional booking for our Xmas meet, you won't be disappointed with the food
