Hia

Not used my m/h fridge for 2 years.
I went to switch it on  eg light the pilot light and it sounded as though it backfired.
I have had this before I had put the fire on and the stove so gas was going through.
Had this problem a few years back at Bridlington.
I had it serviced 2 years ago 
What causes this 

HELP
