Amboise Brass band Festival 6th to 8th June 2014

Would anyone be interested in travelling to Amboise, France at the beginning of June 2014 for the annual brass band competition?
6th, 7th and 8th June 2014

Château de Chenonceau Baza just few miles away from Amboise and it has an Aire so we can stay there after we leave Amboise, never stayed over night before and would love to see it lit up at night. Think there is a link on page one.

We can apply for the Peche Licence at the Mairie as we will have plenty of time before the contest starts in Amboise and be ready for any fishing along the Loire.

Feel a right a right prat  now , must be senility , shown  pic to Rina and she said you have seen that its right next to the campsite we stayed on " Moulin Fort" and we have seen it at night ,
was going to put smillie on but they wont work

Yes we have stayed on there as well as there is a supermarket outside the gate so can replenish supplies of   and fromage, we can have a wee sort out when we get to Amboise and decide what we will do after the contest.   and my smilies are working

Julie has found out today she will be working on sat 31st May so we will leave home on Sunday 1st June & stay at dover for the night the get our ferry in the morning & see you all here mid afternoon

Did you get a reply from Amboise re axle limits and where exactly have you decided to stay ??
We are leaving UK on 15th May and have yet to route plan etc.

Aldi are selling some great fishing stuff so got part of my supply today.

Just started sorting some fishing tackle out, looks like I'm going to have to buy some...haven't been fishing for years

I have got a load of expensive gear from our son Stewart including a beautiful river rod and all the crap (sorry) gear that goes with it, which will of course make me the finest fisherman in France

I hope you realise  Bob , Rina is going to have a go and it would need a very big stretch of the imagination to say she is highly trained ......and I am not that much better  

I was of course Baza referring to the high standard of the male fishermen, as stilettos and face cream are banned on French riverbanks, anyway the ladies will be shopping will they not, someone has to go get the baguettes and the vino.

Oh no  she now is threatening to get lessons from  son Darren , so beware "apparently"

Back in September I was watcing this little French man he was using groundbait with basic setup & was catching every 10 minutes.

hi bob soz to say we must pull out at this late stage ,we have problem with my mum and dads care while we would be away. as my  brother has had a op 7 days ago and can now not drive for 8 10 weeks .and we need to keep a little closer than france as geting back in a rush if things went wrong as the dog would stop us returning fast.

That's a shame Mike, family must come first.

Deffo with Rina fishing we should have great fun she has not seen a big rod for years so she tells me., must remember to put my lucky float in for those big ones,   guess I am in trouble once again
