Recent weather warnings

Have any of our southern members experienced any of the bad weather we have been forecast 

Has it hit us yet? thought it was due in overnight, winds been getting up today though, and according to the last report I heard, us in the north west will miss most of it as it's heading north east.
Saying its going to be the worst storm to hit the UK in 5 year  

Are you expecting severe Gales Baza?

Supposed to be the worst storm since 1987, maybee wind up and over 80mph!
Just started down here on the souh coast but its worsed will be between 1am & 6am 

I have just spoken to Michael Fish and he assured me there is nothing to worry about 

That Michael fish talks total sense  , but im still not coming out of my bunker.

The lady at Blacpool said if the wind reaches 40mph then they stop the lift up the tower ----so if you are up there hard luck as they gave stopped the lift.

On a good note the man on the telly said it as been warming up over the years and will continue, even though it is getting wetter

Should be collecting motorhome from Luton repair shop tomorrow but the forecast is a bit blowy,so its a no go I think

Well think the worst is over now down here, winds of 99mph were recorded on the coast.
Looks like its heading inland now.

Seems  unlike 1987 storm it is not going to effect the most important part of the UK , every where north of Watford  

Unbelievably dover are running a limited ferry service

Morning (just)

Well we were battered with heavy rain and severe winds for most of the early hours.  Been up since 5:30 drinking tea and reading waiting for something to go crash but nothing did. 

It appears to have passed, we are on sandy soil so no flooding around here that I am aware of and no tree's have blocked the A1M.  I think Hertfordshire have had it a bit worse as they are on a clay soil.

Got my washing out now so hope to get a bit of wind along with the sunshine

Funny sort of day today
Went out before lunch and sun was shinning and warming
While having lunch in BHS hailstones came flown
And now sat at home looking at the sky which is dark and yellowish 
Now the sun is trying to shine
Have had a little rain but not to justify the colour of the sky

Having BBQ in garden and sun is shining 

We have had rain for most of the day today  but fortunately it is dry now.

Did you hear we are entering a mini ice age again!

It is all to do with the suns solar activity quietening down.

What was that about global warming and climate change. 

Do you think the energy companies will give us the climate change/green energy tax back if it does get colder?

No ice age where we will be going shortly     

I'm sure Britain will have its usual weather for the foreseeable winters, rain, rain, wind, & more rain!.
