This is something I wanted to do but when I tried to take the lights off there was no free wire to play with, I think they put the lights on then pulled the wire back to the control panel, not leaving any spare, I could only get the light to drop about an inch  Sad
I will try again one day.
How many strips of led's did you put in?

My lights are similar to yours, they take 3 fluorescent strips in each

I bought a reel of led's, and they can be cut every 3 led's, so I used 2 strips of 9 white led's, and 1 strip of 9 red led's. This was just a guess and time will tell if I've used too many or not enough. You also need to junk the circuit board from the unit. If I didn't have enough wire like yours, I would cut one wire, extend it, then cut the other one and extend that one, so you don't lose the short wires into the ceiling, but I'm guessing you probably knew that. Led's rule.

I Doubt there will be enough room to get the crimpers in to put a terminal on  Shocked
I will have a look in the panel one day and see if I can get a bit of slack on the wire somehow.

No, not the dreaded crimpers, solder the wires and use heat shrink, my preferred method. Trouble with crimps, over time, slightest bit of moist and you can get a resistance building up, which can lead to heat being generated, not good!

Why don't you replace your current bulbs with replacement led? No wiring needed.

If you have an old vehicle like mine, ( 14 yrs ) its not allways possible to get LED replacements. I had two spotlights over the seats, and there were no LED's to fit, so then you have to get a bit clever and find different solutions, that don't raid your purse or wallet.

Wonder if your spotlighyts are the same as mine, I hunted high and low for some, they are bayonet fitting but most of the led's won't go in because the collar is too wide, I found some eventually
