| I know people have given/sent us suggestions but could I ask that if there is anywhere you would like us to have a rally in 2015, could you put it in here, I'll keep this open till the end of September then we will look at all the suggestions and use what we can, all Bank holidays have been booked. Thanks _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Hereford Rowing Club is ideally situated; being only a very short walk from the centre of Historic Hereford and all the amenities you would expect from supermarkets to restaurants yet is still in a very rural setting. The site is located on the banks of the river Wye making this an ideal spot for canoeists.
Web site. http://www.herefordrc.co.uk/
52.051847,-2.722726
Post code HR4 0BE
There is a launching charge.
There will be toilets available 24/7.
Dogs are allowed on the site on leads (important this must be adhered to).
The club house may not be open; this depends on functions at the club.
There are no hook ups.
No generators will be allowed,
I would think you could stay on for more days if you wish.

i agree polly but there is a big factor,THE WEATHER if you have bad weather on shell island you are open to gale force winds etc with no cover. each time i have been there i went when the weather forecast was very good, also you cant go when the kids are off school as its just like a gigantic playground,so it looks to me you either take a chance on the weather or go at the drop of a hat once you get a good forecast.

| I agree about Shell Island in as much you can hold a meet there you just book your place then meet up when you arrive, Normal rule is 20mts from neighbour in any direction but with permission you can park within the 6mt rule with anyone. There are loads of large fields we could meet up in and even put an event shelter up, the weather would be a factor as we are told last week in September 2013 every single awning and tent was destroyed one night in an almighty gale and not one person stayed the following day. All in all it is a beautiful spot and we will deffo be returning. Deffo NO CARAVANS | |

Mark but only if they could be shared with other groups and no rally fee.Dont mind raffle games to raise funds to cover over heads .As you no i have three meets all ready booked for 2015 which are shared but at the moment can not share here .And i am just working on number four a bush craft weekend on fmuk that will be shared to .There are many free events for motorhomer to visit as well as its normal group meets.i live in hope of change not tring to start a arguement just a reply to your post thanks mike.

| Quote Mike 100 "shareing would stop this group looking so clicky".
I have to admit I don't see this club as looking clicky, we just seem to be having a lul of enthusiasm especially from the more recent members joining this year & we need input from everyone possible in this club to go forward into 2015. The club cannot run purely on a committee & a few members only this is why we the input & ideas.

Mark sorry to say Barbara's attitude at Pleasureland this year tended to put us off ever organising a meet there ever again. Although we had booked as a group we were told we would just have to park where we were sited. However after some upset they reluctantly sited us together along the edge of a corner. During the course of the weekend other motorhomes were parked in front of us so why we weren't allowed to park in two rows is beyond belief. Barbara had a take it or leave it attitude. Appeared most of the car drvers left it as Pleasureland was charging £5 per car whilst just down the road the Official Firework car park was charging £3 per car. The result was the Pleasureland car park was not as busy as last year. So believe we were not the only disgruntled users of the Pleasureland carpark.

Bakewell show ground I'll second that. Beautiful place could watch the fish, ducks swans on the river all day. Not to mention the Bakewell tart with icecream and a latte as only made and served in Bakewell.

Do you mean Riverside Caravan site, Kidderminster Road. We managed to join a ccc rally there last year arriving Friday teatime. We went about the same time and date this year and a notice was at the entrance saying the rally was full. There wasn't even room on the touring campsite. Apparently different DAs have the rally field booked well in advance so don't think we have any chance of a meet there.
