| Set off for France on Sat with ferry sunday lunch time ,went to fill with fuel at Calais and found non of my cards would work ,(caxton, nationwide, and tesco )all visa's .Headed for gravelines and the intermarch their took my tesco but knocked all the others back.So with a full tank idid what i tell everyone else not to do and that was to head off towards Lille (had no parking place planned) and considering it was 4.30 it would be 6ish when i got there .Starting to go dark don't know the area and cant find any aires on satnav or in books so i gave Lille a miss and headed for Arras and have got on aire in centre which will do for exploring the ww1 sites . | |

| Glad you're enjoying your trip, it's a shame the weather has gone off the boil now, how long are you in France for? Your pictures are bringing back good memories of our trips around France including that lovely evening with Tessajoe at Catillon sur Sambre. | |

| Hi Rob, hope the sun is shining for you. If you're parked up in town (Montherme) by the Meuse and want some peace and quiet at the weekend when the market is on .. go a few hundred yards downstream(? or left as you look at the water) there's a lovely lay-bye on the banks of the river just below the cemetery and the old borne. If the water is off at the borne there's plenty at the cemetery. Stayed there lots of times, have a walk first to see if there are many there. | |

| Cheers Alf got the regulator sorted courtesy of Calais Caravannes so only misses Brugge (been before anyhow) spent last night at Wissant and tonight at Calais Plage as just been to Cite Europe to finish off shopping (skint now have to stop in til christmas ). Always discourage people from stopping at Calais so hope i dont regret it as it is busy with immigrants. | |
