Pork Pies!!

Yes sorry the Pork pies back on the agenda..A lot of you will remember the catastrophe ...

Well after last year (autumn time-ish) as you know we had made a large batch of Pork Pies....around 20,...due to impossible task of not being able to buy Pork pies in France,!!!??? as they do NOT know how to cook... although they may tell you they do..

Well after a great 1 month tour in Brittany in the motorhome  September-ish last year... 

On arrival back home we found the electric was off and had been off for a while due to a storm they had had a week  previous.......so that meant all the food in the freezer and it was full!!! had to go in the BIN...what a awful waste.......

But what broke my heart WAS ...we had taken quite few of the home made pork pies we made with us and the rest we left in the Freezer(and they was delish).....better than shop purchased....but we had left around 10 or 12 in the freezer for when we got back home....tears in my eyes as they was thrown in the bin with all the other food......so I have been reluctant to make them again the heartache was just toooo much....

SO Today... we have decided enough is enough we must make the Pork Pies again....so today...8 of those succulent Precious Pork Pies will be made......

you'd better have made enough to fetch to brid or you won't get through the gate after telling us how good they are, we won't know till we taste them and give you our opinion, and I'm sure me and polly can find you something very nice in the pound shop to take home with you if you don't come up with the goods  lol x x 

OOoooops come on...do really think these will last over a month and half... Adele....any way you can slip down to the butchers any day and get a Pork Pie....anytime.....Pork Pie ...Butchers...here in France...not buddy likely??? you are saying You and Polly's....opinion ...and after the boots [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

finished out of the oven...jelly injected in the pies..they just need to cool till tomorrow...NOW Adele & Polly ... I could NOT bring myself to give a Pork pie to you two .....as I would not want you to lower yourselves...YOU DESERVE BETTER......finer cuisine ...

See what I mean Ladies... Adele...Polly... don't lower your selves to eating my Pork pies....you are destined for the finer things in life..

were not proud mel we could lower our standards just this once , but to be honest I don't  think we would be lowering our standards because knowing you mel you'll only use the finest ingredients in your delicious looking pies .Polly and I will look forward to the taste test .

as you can see the pork pie is warm and very delicate at this stage.....

Hey listen up you lot going to Wilsthorpe, let me know if the old Yarkie does not bring any pork pies for you to share and I will do as last time.

When we are on our way down through France we will stop by his house and trip his leccy again, he will soon learn not to tease us Motor-Homers

AH ha caught you... you bugger.Laneside......I had a feeling it was you and your sidekick Potter .....your information written on this forum, admitting willful damage to our electricity........this information has been passed on to the EDF & Insurance company... as the insurance company did wonder if it was some illegal foreign northern immigrant anarchist born in the toddy region  who had a grudge against us might be to blame ..all that grudge has been building up inside you....just because I would not give you one our award winning PORK PIES last year ...buddy heck ... so you tripped our lecky while we was away.......buddy heck

NOW BACK TO THE PORK PIES.... &  PETER........would I fetch our award winning PORK PIES to Wilsthorpe for the pork pie evening......Well.... NO....1/ they are toooo heavy to bring over the Pork Pies are full of luscious mouth watering pork & jelly with a hard crust pastry... AND you can not just bring  1  PORK PIE...so that would mean at least a dozen....and I know Adele and Polly would squirrel most of them away..... also when placed on the table IF they ever reached the table...it could be dangerous... members hurt in the stampede.. rush & crush...every body would want some ...and all the other pork pies would be left....that would be a shame and waste of food....so IF there is a pork pie evening best we could do would be to buy some decent pork pies over there to share.... does that sound about right......(I could pass some good information on to you where to buy good pork pies ...nearly as good as our if requested)

Well Mel as your Walnut tree has gone I don't suppose there is any Walnut in the recipe, just saying Malc.

So it is a good job we know him..Malcolm and Kathy..nice couple with a Motorhome.( not the Malcolm & Lynda with the caravan)... they called in to see us at the camp site we was all on in the Algarve..they also called at Pedro's... but it was too crowded.......and..they called here at our house about a week ago...ate our cupcakes drank our coffee and stopped over night......BUT THE WALNUTS.???? ..even I am baffled........the only thing I can think of was last year when they called we gave him a bag or two of walnuts......and now that we have cut the Walnut tree down due to the high winds we had and the tree leaning over with the roots coming out of the ground....we had none spare just a few bags from the previous year for ourselves......the good news is we have planted a new walnut tree...the bad news is the bare rooted plant /walnut tree we purchased is showing NO sign of bud or growth...and its been in the ground a month ??? ....
So about the walnuts in the porkpies......I know some people put pork & nuts, pork & apple, poachers pie, gala pie with boiled egg and other things in Pork Pies......or maybe he is just nuts like you imply ....I will ask him next time we see him

I also flushed his toilet whilst at his home,and am still having Nightmares about that, ask him about it! Mel that is a Female tree you have bought and planted and like all Females it will need love and attention and time spent on nurturing it, stop eating pies and cup cakes and work on it hee hee.

It does sound bad....I think I better explain ...as.. Vindi.....doesn't .....can't.....or... won't..he just put's the seed there to grow...also....Beware this man he will dump anywhere.....

There are two toilets in the house...both in the passage way just off the kitchen... there are two doors facing each other....One toilet is in the bathroom /shower and the toilet is using Maceration method.....( for those that don't know it chops the lumps paper up) and pumps it out under pressure down a 40mm (1.3/4") pvc exit pipe...this pipe has to go all way the house...and through the garage...before it finally gets to the septic tank. we also know he has used it because the power electric pump at the back of the toilet kicks in with a loud noise and flushes about three times and takes about 5 mins !!!..the other toilet about 1 mtr away from the one he has just sat on ..is in a separate toilet room with basin..with a direct exit with 150mm (6") pipe..straight into the septic tank ...job done or jobby done...pardon the pun.....so you can guess which toilet Vindi tries to go on every time !!!!!!!! ...

But I only had a Wee, all the lights in the immediate area dipped when I pressed the flush, the power seemed to be coming from a nearby Lamp post in the street, Northern Ways are strange to us Southerners Hee Hee.
