expensive weekend

Well we had to buy a new battery for the van after Whittingham as it went down to 7v overnight and would not fully recharge and hold voltage, so that was £72 for the new Varta battery, then I booked our crossing to France for September and that was £190 return Dover/Calais/Dover but £100 cheaper that the Eurotunnel at £294 return.

Would have used my tesco vouchers but the tossers have reduced their value so much i will keep them for the " multi deals" they promote every now and again, Tesco have shot themselves in the foot reducing the value of their vouchers as you now need to spend 8 times to the £ to get any points if not spent in store, so they have lost my custom, as I can save their voucher promotion cost by shopping at Aldi/Lidl.

Busy weekend next week as the whole family will meet up at Southport Sea Scouts for the weekend, that is 14 off us so it's a good job we have 3 vans for them all just hope the weather stays good.

Sorry to hear about the unexpected expense Bob and I am with you wholeheartedly on the Tesco points issue, and the attitude to shopping at Aldi/Lidl.
